Deciding to have a family is one of the most exciting decisions a couple can make together. Learning that you cannot achieve that goal is at best … devastating. Each day another couple learns they cannot achieve pregnancy on their own. Each day another couple weeps in silence as they grieve the loss of their dream. Each day another couple slips further into depression and hides away from the world.

Infertility is not often discussed; but, it is very real for those experiencing it. Hearing the diagnosis of ‘infertility’ can be quite painful. Undergoing treatments for infertility can be life-altering. While the devastating effects of infertility can take a toll on a person's self-worth, mental health, and marital relationship, many infertile couples often grieve alone. Research shows that counseling plays an important role in battling depression, anxiety, and grief while undergoing fertility treatments.
